CPO® Certification and More
We are proud to offer one of the top CPO® certification programs in the Midwest along with a variety of CEU classes and on-site training programs.
Our PHTA® Instructors, PHTA Award Winning Chris Gibson and John Forney have a combined 40 plus years of experience and knowledge in swimming pool and spa operations. The goal of our training programs is not just to help you meet state requirements, but also to present the information in a manner that is simple and accessible, so that you leave with a thorough understanding of the concepts you need in operating swimming pools and spas.
Iowa Requirements
Iowa health code requires all public swimming pools and spa operators to become certified, and renew their certification every 5 years. The Certified Pool-Spa Operator® certification program is one of the accepted certifications and required in the state of Iowa. Operators in Iowa are also required to complete 10 hours of continuing education during the 5 years between CPO® certifications. Continuing Education for Pool Operators
We offer continuing education classes covering a variety of pool and spa related topics. Each class is designed to give an in-depth look at the different situations that pool and spa operators come across every day. These classes are great as refresher courses or as a supplement to CPO® certification. Each class counts for two hours of the required continuing education for pool and spa operators in the state of Iowa.
